15DecA Chicken in Every Pot and Radio Slaves for Everyone
As much as I like writing and/or recording those inspirational messages I need to remind myself occasionally that you’re here to learn about photography. Certainly we need to remain inspired – but we need some meat once in a while too.
Today in this longer-than-I-expected video I talk about Cowboy Studio radio slaves.
Pardner, if you’ve been puttin’ off buyin’ yourself some of them new fangeled radio slaves ’cause they cost more’n a good hog – well don’t you put it off no more. You can outfit yourself with a passle of these here Cowboy Studio slave doohickeys for less’n you’d pay for dinner and a show down to the Silver Star Saloon.
Check out this here video for the full deescripshun . . .

December 15th 2011I use them myself for the last year, only thing I would like is to be able to change my settings from the camera in the future. I have 4 vivitar pros and 1 canon 580exii I actually prefer the vivitar over the 580 they never go to sleep but everything is manual even the focus. So you just have to walk or use your assistant.

Great video! Very informative. Never thought to use more than one flash in an umbrella before.. now I will have to try it. I have been using Cowboy radio slaves for about a year. Love them and never have had a problem. Prior to using them I had used the slave mode on my flashes outside. I did find issues with this. there were several times when due to weather the flashes would not fire. YIKES! After that experience, we bought our radio triggers the next day from amazon. They have been pretty reliable though I have to remember to not be too far away from the signal. When I get into shooting mode and working with my client, I have the tendency to be out of the line of frequency and then it won’t fire… my husband then helps me by guiding me back :0)
